So today I am completely hampered by this horrific cold. can't even breath through my nose...so you can imagine Yoga to be rather difficult....ahem....lets just say i less than enjoyed the first 30minutes where the normal feeling of struggling to breathe turned into how you'd imagine it feels to drown, literally like you imagine the torture technique they use in Russia to feel like...O GOD IT WAS AWFUL...BUT THEN>>>>i got a near perfect posture and had genuine enlightenment when my sweaty forehead touched the floor...the yoga teacher grabbed my rather emotional face post pose and he looked soo excited...so i was so excited. SO after that i completely forgot about the fact i couldnt breath AT ALL, and was o so chuffed with myself *pat on the back, small celebratory dance* :) my achievement still hasnt left me, i look like a cheshire cat.
I've decided i LOVE americans...why??, well, after class im slowly putting on my shoes and find myself listening to a chat between a british beginner (BB) and an advanced american (AA)....i swear americans have the knack of sounding sooo involved with what they are saying, like they could make the story of finding a mouse in the house spiritual...i dont know whether its their tone of voice of their choice of words, but today listening to the AA tell BB how "at the beginning the heat is your "everest" but after a few classes its the heat that keeps you fully focussed and able to progress further in every posture" - I COMPLETELY believed her and thought about it the whole way home. Then i put this into a british accent...its just never going to sound as convincing or calming....i think we need to jazz up our accents more, no wonder americans always think we can only sound polite. polite=boring.
Speaking of boring, for the rest of today ill be wholed up in my quilt downing lemsip and trying to knock this illness out of the park (american saying).
Over and Out from p green xxx
